What Are Maryland Conservatives Saying About Lauren?
"Lauren is exactly the kind of conservative Republican that Annapolis needs. I'm proud to endorse Lauren for the House of Delegates in the 7th District."
Congressman Andy Harris, MD Congressional District 1
"Lauren Arikan is a fireball! She is a strong conservative, not a RINO like so many out there. She is who you want in Annapolis. I FULLY ENDORSE Lauren Arikan."
Delegate Pat McDonough, District 7
“I see Lauren, year after year, in Annapolis volunteering her time to protect Maryland families. She is dedicated to conservative values and her knowledge of the legislative process would be a real asset in the House and to her constituents.”
-Nic Kipke, Maryland House Minority Leader
“Lauren Arikan shares our conservative values and has a great work ethic. We need more strong leaders and small business owners like Lauren Arikan in Annapolis.”
-Kathy Szeliga, Maryland House Minority Whip
"Lauren represents the values of District 7 Republican voters. She would be a strong conservative voice in the Maryland House of Delegates."
- Ellen Sauerbrey, Former Minority Leader
Lauren Arikan lives with her husband and three children in Jarrettsville, Maryland on their 8-acre farm. They raise poultry, cattle and dairy goats. Together with her husband, the Arikan's own and manage an accounting and staffing firm, Arikan Accounting. Lauren also owns and operates an investment company, Arikan Investments.
As a member of the Harford County Republican Women’s Club and the Maryland Federation of Republican Women, Lauren understands that there is a need to have more conservative voices in Annapolis fighting for our values. In 2015, Lauren and her husband created Love Maryland PAC to help combat legislation in the Maryland General Assembly that sought to infringe on parental rights and medical autonomy. She wants to make Maryland a great place for families to raise their children and retire. She has spent the last several years regularly testifying in Annapolis against legislation that harms parental rights to help ensure situations like the Charlie Gard case, that made international news, will not happen to families in Maryland.
Community service is a huge part of Lauren’s life. As a teen, she was a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient. In 2014, she founded Birth Circle of Baltimore, which is a monthly community group that offers free peer support to women during their childbearing years and beyond. She also served on the board of Maryland Friends of Midwives, a local 501c3, that supports midwifery in Maryland. Today, she is the VP of the Victoria Russell Foundation, which raises money to support local first responder's and their family, as well as victims of serious crime.
